WHAT IS THE BE UNIQUE CHALLENGE?
Celebrating Community Heroes.
The Be Unique Challenge is a heartwarming celebration of those individuals who make a difference in the community. It is a recognition of selflessness, a movement that paints a brighter future for our communities. The Be Unique Challenge is a celebration of the exceptional people who make our neighborhoods truly unique.
We started the challenge in 2019, and the idea was to honor a deserving person in Clay, Platte, or Jackson County with a fresh, home exterior paint job. Our hope has been to see the challenge grow. We wanted to inspire other businesses to give back to their communities and spread goodness as well.
Since 2019, we’ve been turning dreams into reality, one house at a time, and we’re just getting started. So far, we have transformed 9 houses, each reflecting the heart and soul of the amazing individuals who call them home. Each house painted represents the collective appreciation of a community, turning houses into vibrant expressions of gratitude.
We began taking nominations for the 2024 Be Unique Challenge on January 3rd and will continue to accept your submissions until February 29th. The recipient will be announced on March 31st!
WHO TO NOMINATE?
Nominate Your Local Hero.
The Be Unique Challenge invites everyone to join in and be part of this remarkable movement. Nominate those exceptional individuals who embody the spirit of giving back, and together, let’s paint a brighter and more colorful tomorrow for our community heroes.
Do you know someone that impacts the community in a positive way? It’s the person who is always giving 100%, no matter who is watching. They invest their time and talents to improve the lives of others. It’s just who they are.
It is a coach who never gives up, a teacher who thinks outside the box, a foster parent whose doors are always open, a mentor shaping a child’s future, a first responder who always answers, or a health professional that never stops helping. They are one-of-a-kind. They are unique. They are who this challenge is about.
WHAT DO THEY WIN?
The Power of Giving Back.
The Be Unique Challenge is more than just a fresh coat of paint; it’s a symbol of gratitude for those who give back selflessly. The winner isn’t chosen based on the size of their house but on the size of their heart and impact on the community.
The chosen winner, selected from community nominations, will not only receive a free exterior house painting but also a bundle of contributions from our esteemed partners. Our fantastic partners have contributed various goodies and services to make the winner’s life even more colorful. From local businesses to community leaders, everyone is chipping in to spread the joy.
